Expansion Vault Forensics
Beyond the curated 1,063 • duplicates separated from new historical content38 genuinely new image files recovered
This pass preserved 50 historical files from the expansion/provenance layer. Byte-level comparison against V3.4 found 38 genuinely new image files and 12 historical aliases whose image bytes already existed under another filename.
Original Google Drive files changed: 0.
The old “15 unknown photos” bucket is solved
13 files trace directly to the California source tree. The two COWBOY KIDS photographs trace directly to South Dakota. The classification comes from surviving duplicate file locations in known source folders—not from visual guessing.
California expansion
The large California aggregate is recorded as 788 direct images / 997 including descendants, while the clean curated California baseline preserved in V3.3 contains 403 files. Its child folder california 2 is the already-preserved 18-photo Salton Sea named sequence; California 3 adds only a duplicate Merrill/Paulette name; the copy child contains duplicate “Copy of ...” material.
The useful new material is in the California root's named layer: Santa Barbara, Universal/cousins, family/Woody/Zak images, palm-tree/sunset images, and related files.
1,530-photo archive migration remains unresolved
The August 6 inventory recorded 1,530 JPEGs in Agnittisadventure.com 2003.
That exact folder and its parent are currently empty. Multiple later sorting buckets exist, but the tested populated
numbered-series folders do not reconcile to 1,530. A later Facebook-style archive contains a nearby but different count,
which is not treated as proof. This remains an open migration clue—not a claimed loss and not a claimed recovery.

Sorting-bucket archaeology
The master contains multiple generations of 01 IDENTIFIED, 02 CAMERA SERIES,
03 OLD WEBSITE PHOTO SETS, and 99 UNIDENTIFIED. Some duplicate generations are empty.
The populated camera bucket contains repeated number variants such as (2) and (3) with different sizes,
so camera numbers alone are not treated as chronology. The older numbered-site tree has some populated series
(e.g. 447xxxxx and 399xxxxx) and many empty series placeholders.
