INDIANA

July 19th. This is a drive through state. Wow what a long drive. We drove route 20 out of Ohio into Indiana. Then we hooked up with route 30. We ended up stopping at a super Wal-mart in Valparaiso. If you've never been in a super Wal-mart it's huge. We bought all our food there for the next few days, and we picked up a few extra things. The older couple from Texas gave us a hint, and we bought a 2 burner hot plate. That will help us save on propane. We also bought Michelle a new pillow, and we let the kids spend $2.00 each. Zakary bought another Hot Wheels car and Nikole bought a Pez dispenser and extra Pezes. Guess who had change. After the hour and a half spent there, we headed back on our way. We changed time zones and gained a hour. Traveling down Route 30 got hectic, it was all stop and go traffic. The area was really busy and there was everything under the sun there. At one point as I was changing lanes, someone decided to go right on red and almost slammed us. It wasn't really that close, but it was the first scary driving issue. I bet it scared him more than us, after all we are 10 times bigger. Once we got to Illinois we quickly found Route 80 and headed for Joliet. |
