7/29

We arrived in Minnesota today.  We got here to this site at around 7 p.m.  We are staying at Treasure Island R.V. Park.  This place is also a huge Indian casino.  It is very nice, they have everything even a marina right on the Mississippi River.  It's located in a town called Welch.  In the hotel part of the complex is where the pool, hot tubs, game room, and work out areas are. It is very quite in the campground section.  We will be using this area for a few days to see things.

7/30

Today we went to The Mall of America in Bloomington Minnesota.  Wow, Talk about a Mall. This place is huge.  Most of it is on 3 floors with other stores and restaurants on levels 4 and 5.  In the middle of it all is Camp Snoopy, a huge indoor amusement park. It had a roller coaster, water rides, and Ferris wheel plus much more . Just to name a few of the attractions located in the mall are as follows.  Planet Hollywood, Jillian's, Underwater Adventures, Hooters, Lego Imagination Center, Rainforest Cafe, Cereal Adventure, Cafe Odyssey, Ruby Tuesday, and Tony Roma's.  There must of been at least 300 stores also.  We spent 8 hours in a Mall.  We at Cereal Adventure for breakfast, you could get any General mills cereal you wanted.  then we walked around and found Underwater Adventure.  It was a huge underground aquarium that surrounded you as you rode a moving sidewalk through it.  It was well worth the extra expense, for we when through it twice. Once in the morning and once before we left.  After some more exploring we ended up eating at Cafe Odyssey.  They offered free kids meals with every adult purchase.  The food there was awesome.  Everyone loved what they had ordered.  The rooms were really cool too.  They had huge screens that changed as you ate.  We ate in the Africa section.  After lunch we explored the Mall some more. Then went back to the Aquarium.  You really can get lost in the Mall.  There is too much to do and see in just 8 hours.

When we got back to the campsite we ate dinner, and headed to the pool.  We spent well over a hour using the hot tubs and swimming.  We are planning on staying here until around 9:30 P.M. Wednesday .  That way we can use the pool and have a all you can eat lunch buffet. Yahoo I love those.  My weight will testify to that.  After the day here we will take off and travel through the night while the kids sleep.

We are heading to South Dakota. We have to be in a campground by Mount Rushmore by Friday.  We have a free 4 day 3 night stay at a 5 star campground there. It was something that a friendly fellow camper blessed us with.  That and the fact that Sturgis Bike Week starts on Monday.  We will stay longer if needed, after all there is a lot of things to do and see in this area of the country.  We would like to stop at Sioux Falls, Wall Drug, and The Badlands before getting to Mount Rushmore.  We Might have to move our reservations to Saturday.  For those of you that don't know what Wall Drug is, it is sort of like South of the Border located in North Carolina.  Look it up on the internet I'm sure there must be something out there about it.
